It’s no secret that I’ve been an Indiaphile for over ten years. Over that time I’ve grown to greatly appreciate the charm of vintage Indian graphic design. My own personal interest lies with printed items such as books, packaging, posters and stickers (sample below).

I’ve recently discover someone else out there with similar interests. There is a lovely Etsy shop run by a girl living in India collecting vintage Indian ephemera including lots of books. This is really worth the browse for some inspiration!

Also here is a link to a slide show from a trip a few years ago to the source of the Ganges River. There is a little smattering of Indian Kitch among these photos (Gallery Here) . Check out the “GRIP TEST” in photo #17 taken in Mussoorie, Uttar Pradesh. I tried this test which determines your ideal career based on your grip strength. Apparently I’m in the wrong biz, because mine said I should be a nurse! That’s what you get for one rupee.
