Wild Blueberries

Well I’ve just come back from a physically exhausting, but creatively rejuvenating hike around Seymour Mountain in North Vancouver. I grew up at the foot of the mountain and used to hike around it as a kid. I always try and get onto the mountain towards the end of summer to see how the blueberries are doing. The mid and upper levels of the mountain are awash with wild blueberries of varying tastes and textures. I figure there are 4 or 5 different species. Here are some pics, the dark shiny blue ones are my favorites, followed by the reddish looking ones.

Bon appetite!
